Restaurant 66A at Cotswold Lodge Hotel - (Near Oxfordshire, South East)

3 /5 Jinia Haldar: I came on a Sunday when it was rather empty. Unfortunately, I was initially led to the wrong room, which was rather confusing. Food-wise, the lemon tart was too sweet. The other dishes were all lovely. I got a cheese board for the appetizer and roasted onion for the main, which came with giant couscous and greens. The decor leans rather Victorian. It certainly has a high-class, old-fashioned feel to it. I think this is great for taking the parents.

5 /5 Hazel Hathaway: The evening meal was simply divine. Excellent service, quiet refined dining and exquisite food. Two people, three courses full of flavour plus wine and coffee. Could not criticise even if we tried. Friendly, well timed and efficient service. They were more than happy to be flexible with the courses and exchange one part of the dish for one from a different dish. Could not be improved in any way. A total delight.

5 /5 Julien Létourneau: Beautiful and quiet, the drawing room was a delight to have tea in. The amount and quality of food for the price were certainly a very positive surprise. Going for an early tea during the week made it so it felt like a very private room in a cozy hotel. Would go again, if I didnt have to cross an ocean to do it!

5 /5 Jason Lum: After a morning of lecture and some punting, the final step of the Oxford experience is high tea time! I did not stay in the hotel but this review is for the restaurant and bar area of the hotel. My group had a table near the window with a great view in the middle afternoon. We came from California and the weather came with us because it was quite lovely without a cloud in the sky. We started with presecco before tea as a celebration. Preseco is sparkling wine but we cannot call it champagne or we might make the French mad as our server explained. Normally this was a traditional for graduation but considering our Oxford Global business program was ending it was time to celebrate. We ordered 6 orders of High tea for I people but it was way too much food. Considering we havent eating lunch this was a late lunch or dinner. The scones are the best! Sweet butter and jam in a scone is divine. Im not going to say amazing because I am resisting the urge. The scones hands down beat any butter milk southern biscuit I have had in America. This was shocking considering most English food in my opinion lack flavor and spice. Everything is mostly bread, basic entree and some form of dessert. Personally I prefer focus on the main course with dessert and bread optional. The high tea spread was mostly finger food sandwiches and dessert items. The tea and scones were my favorite part. Just lounging and having a great time with friends made for a great time. I will try again. This location was very affordable and will not break the bank. Cheers!
