Roast & Co - (Near Greenwich, South East)

5 /5 Hassan Abbas: I went to this place in a group of 7. The service was great and staff were friendly. I counted about 8+ workers behind the counter all busy making fresh food - this clearly indicates how popular and busy the place is. The food was fresh, tasty and worth the price. It is slightly more expensive than your typical chicken and chips shop but I would compare this place to Nandos.

1 /5 Muhammad Quddus: We called a week in advance to confirm whether they take reservations, and they told us they do, so we booked a table for three people. Fifteen minutes before arriving at Roast & Co, we placed a fairly large order over the phone, and they confirmed it would be ready in 15 minutes. However, when we arrived, they told us there were no reservations. Apparently, they do not take reservations at all and operate on a first-come, first-served basis. We were shocked, especially as the restaurant was full, and we had to look around for a table ourselves. After waiting nearly 30 minutes, we finally received our food, and it was very disappointing. We ordered: • Donner • Half chicken • Mozzarella sticks • Wagyu burger • Lamb chops • Chilli chips Overall, the food was 1/5. The chilli chips were just covered in chilli sauce. The Wagyu burger tasted like a standard burger. The lamb chops had no flavour and were mostly cover fat oil. The donner tasted the same as the chilli chips just covered in chilli sauce. The only good thing was the bread that came with the donner, unfortunately. Overall experience: 1/5. My advice don’t fall for the social media advertising. The place feels more like a basic chicken and chips shop than a restaurant

5 /5 Adam Ali: Absolutely outstanding experience. The lamb chops and ribs were hands down the best I’ve ever had — perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and packed with flavour. Every bite was exceptional. Mr Adam looked after us and the service was top-class from start to finish — attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. This meal exceeded all expectations, and I’ll definitely be returning. Highly recommended.

3 /5 U A: Went here with a group of friends as we’ve been going since the beginning and hadn’t visited in a while. Opted for pure meat range: lamb doner and chips, lamb chops, wagyu ribs etc. The prices were very high I have to say. The lamb doner was good quality but I feel the salt to flavour ratio could’ve been better. The lamb chops were excellent. The tenderness of the meat was really good. The wagyu ribs fell short of adequate to be honest. The price they charged was very high (almost £25) but the quality of the ribs wasn’t all that. There was barely and rib meat, it was just laced with an overflow of sauces to try and compensate the lack of meat. Price to quality ratio was adequate. Price to quantity ratio was poor. It was very noisy when we went, and table space was limited, so you may need to wait a while. Miss the old days of Roast when the quality, prices and services were all simultaneously exceptional. Improvements need to be made .

5 /5 Talal Ahmed: I’d been hearing about Roast E7 from my friend Sanu for the last couple of years but never got around to trying it. I was in the area recently and finally decided to give it a go. I ordered a large lamb doner with spicy chips and a drink. The portion size was generous and everything tasted spot on. The lamb was well cooked, the chips had a proper kick, and it all came together really well. Glad I finally tried it and I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend this place if you’re nearby and want a solid meal.
