Royal Inn on the Park - (Near Hackney, South East)

1 /5 Jennifer Eugene: Myself & ex-work colleagues met up as we often do for a meal & a chat. This was our first & probably last visit based on our experience. It was chosen as an alternative to our usual spot, based on reviews. I was greeted very well by a particular bar staff who also took our food order. She advised she would be leaving shortly (it was about 3-30pm). My party of 4 ordered the chicken dish served in a breadcrumb coating, egg & chips with a salad with dressing. Once served the dish, no member of staff came to check if the food was to our liking. The chicken coating was so hard, it knocked against the plate. We were so hungry, the only edible part was the chips & egg. We agreed collectively that it was the worst dish we ever had in a pub. Total cost of the meal was £20 per person. We complained & was offered a complimentary drink each. Nice gesture, but I would have preferred decent food.

5 /5 Nadya K Amira: Had my very first Sunday roast here and it was amazing! Great food, friendly service, and such a cozy place to spend the afternoon. The roast was cooked perfectly with generous portions. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

5 /5 Emily Betts: A great pub in viccy park. The food is actually really good - two of us had the chicken Shnitzel and have talked about it multiple times since. Proper wholesome food. We sat outside In Jan as many others were but it didnt feel overly cold as there are plenty of heaters. There were lots of people with dogs, we loved saying hi to them all. Was also child friendly! We will be going back for dinner and a quiz night in the future ☺️

4 /5 Cherished Pets of Brentwood: This is a lovely pub but much better on a quieter day. We came on a day that was way too busy. But the food in here is decent, the surroundings are lovely as youre in the park itself. Its dog friendly. But beware because of the crowds, it is a queue at the bar system, no table service. Which is fine, but just be aware of this before coming. I have been coming here for over 20 years and have seen the changes in this area and this pub. But I will always visit when Im in the area as for me its a part of my Eastend history.
