Sessa - (Near , South East)

5 /5 Ashley Smith: We had our first dinner at Sessa in Herne Hill last night and absolutely loved it! Firstly, the location couldn’t be better - it’s practically opposite the station, so incredibly easy to get to. From the moment we walked in, the team made us feel genuinely welcome. We were dining with friends and ended up trying most of the menu! The standouts for us were the Mussels Escabeche, the Beef Tartare and the Malfatti — all beautifully cooked and full of flavour. Also, fried pasta is beautifully simple but so good. We finished with desserts, including an incredible banana ice cream (this should be a regular on the menu!) and the tart. A perfect end to a brilliant meal. We can’t wait to visit again. Highly, highly recommended!

5 /5 Olivia Wieliczko: lovely little spot in herne hill - came for a late dinner and drinks here on a thursday night and had a wonderful time. the food was fantastic, the wine was very nice, and the atmosphere was lovely. will definitely be coming back!

Excellent food, cocktails, brilliant wine, and genuinely lovely, knowledgeable staff. It’s hard to stand out in a place like London, but sessa genuinely does. Already planning my next visit!

5 /5 Madison Calkin: Sessa - i’m so glad you exist! I can’t stop coming. Officially my favourite place in london to drink martinis, eat gildas and plates of cheese all night long. The small savoury plates obviously go so well with the drinks but the puddings are always an unexpected highlight - the steamed pudding with rhubarb and custard will stay with me for a long time. I’ve gone for brunch and dinner and it seems to always be buzzy and full - I went this evening on a Tuesday, expecting it to be quiet, but as always it was a vibe - full of tables of friends having a great time and being served delicious wine. Everyone’s talking about it for a reason - keep doing what you’re doing!

5 /5 John Vince: Visited on 15th of February for brunch on recommendation of a friend. Met by owner Edward who was welcoming, polite, friendly & professional. We chose Sausage Ragu, Fried Egg & Toast, Spanish Tortilla & Squash, Ricotta, Cavalo Nero, Chilli on Toast which were all lovely & full of flavour. We added a couple of glasses of Fresh White wine for my wife & pint of excellent London Black for myself. We finished with a couple of shortbread for my wife & peanut butter white chocolate cookie, both delicious. Now aiming to visit for an evening meal.
