The cheese component of this culinary masterpiece was equally praiseworthy. A decadent blanket of melted cheese adorned the mountain of fries, ensuring that each strand was generously coated. While my visit focused solely on the cheesy fries, the ambiance and service at Hungry House Burgers & Kebabs were noteworthy. The establishment exuded a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff demonstrated efficiency and friendliness, adding to the overall positive dining experience. Dean Larken Impeccable service, went in after a show at the theatre at 10pm. We were greeted and served with aplomb even though they were just getting ready to close up for the evening. The food was unbelievably fresh, Bhaji’s crispy and fresh even though it was late in the day made to order. Dansak was on point, madras of my brothers was fantastic. 10/10 for these lads and extra hospitality and chatter even though they had clearly had a busy day. Would love to revisit when I get the opportunity.

Madeline McQueen Food tastes gorgeous as always. Its a small stall in Chatham so not as many options as the one in Maidstone, but its good for what they have and the vegan food are so delicious.

Shiny Candi I absolutely adore Pam’s Exotic Jerk Hut in Dockside. It’s my go-to on the weeks I don’t have my children and don’t want to cook, and it never disappoints. The food is proper Caribbean comfort food — full of flavour, cooked with care, and there’s always a great range of choices available. I’ve never turned up and felt like I was scraping the barrel; there’s always plenty to choose from. I’ll be honest — I dont really buy Caribbean food in Kent, I always used to pick it up on my way back from South London, so finding this place locally has been amazing. It genuinely feels like a little taste of home without the long journey. The service is impeccable every single time — friendly, warm, and welcoming. The hut itself is tiny but always spotless, well organised, and beautifully presented. You can tell a lot of pride goes into running this place. My only (very minor!) gripe is that there’s never quite enough coco bread for the patties — but honestly, that just tells you how popular they are. Absolutely love this place and will keep coming back. A real gem.
