Spice Lounge - (Near Oxfordshire, South East)

4 /5 Brian Bagaglio: We had a lovely dinner at this restaurant. The food was flavorful without being overpowering, the atmosphere was nice, and the service was excellent. I dropped a star because the bill had a service charge attached. In several countries, a service charge should be expected; in the UK it is not expected. Please charge a bit more for your food and remove the service charge. Your patrons will leave with a better taste in their mouths.

5 /5 Stuart Small: Enjoyed a fabulous meal at the Spice Lounge. We enjoyed chicken sag, lamb Rogan and a spectacular aubergine dish, with rice and naan. The ingredients were top quality with rich aromatic flavours. Great service too!

5 /5 Sean Martin: Came in June last year on a work trip. Wasn’t expecting much but was blown away by the standard of food. No idea why it is only a 4.3/5. I have had far inferior curries at much higher rated places. I’ve even gone to the trouble of saving it so I can revisit next time I’m in Oxford.

5 /5 Avner: A splendid meal. The charming restaurant is on busy Banbury Rd, Oxford, but inside it is quiet with soft Indian music in the background. It was a lovely summer evening so I chose to sit outside on a small roofed balcony. After the tasteful papa dam with four different sauces I chose a Naga style vegetarian dish. It is not the usual type of dish. Very distinctive flavours, rich and full of surprises. I think they use a particular kind of ginger and this Naga dish is rather hot, so if you are not keen on chillies (theirs were green, amazingly tasty) tell the waiter. The staff is very attentive. To sum up, it is an incredibly good restaurant. I wonder why it is not packed with diners. Perhaps I attended too early in the evening. In my next visit to Oxford I shall surely come again.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. The food was equally impressive — beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with care and high-quality ingredients. Every dish we ordered was delicious, and you could really taste the authenticity and attention to detail. If you’re looking for exceptional food paired with top-tier service in Oxford, I highly recommend Spice Lounge. The staff truly made the experience special, and I’ll definitely be returning!
