5 /5 Shezmina Alibhai: I have always been a bit reluctant to give a review....everythings too good and I dont want it to get too busy here. Best place to come for Indian food....depends on you but they can cater for all. My mums Kenyan....I love the food. Best dish...tandoori prawns but please dont tell anyone. Service is always excellent.

5 /5 Aleks: Sun & Sand Restaurant – Finchley We’ve been coming to Sun & Sand since November 2014, and in all these years nothing has ever changed, the food is consistently outstanding and remains the best Indian cuisine I have ever had. Every dish is full of flavour, perfectly cooked, and made with real care and authenticity. The staff are absolutely amazing welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind every single visit. The service and atmosphere are outstanding, making you feel comfortable and valued from the moment you walk in. After so many years of loyalty, I can honestly say I would never change this place for any other restaurant. Sun & Sand is not just a restaurant to us, it’s a place we truly love and trust. Highly recommended without hesitation!

5 /5 Rohan: I’ve been coming here 25 years and can’t recommend it enough. The food is up there with the best in london and service good. Always family friendly. If you haven’t visited I would definitely advise doing so.

5 /5 Mohammed Jahed Ahmed: I had low expectations, but Sun and Sand Lounge surpassed them and delighted my taste buds! The atmosphere is very relaxed, and the service is quick. The staff are pleasant and friendly. I usually find that many BIR (British Indian Restaurant) restaurants around London lack flavor and use the same base gravy for almost everything. Sun and Sand Lounge is the complete opposite. Every dish was phenomenal, and the Indian/Kenyan fusion was a delight. Starter: The Mixed Grill was not overly spicy and offered excellent value for money. It included two lamb kebabs, tandoori wings, tandoori chicken pieces, and succulent lamb chops. Mains: Honestly, the lamb Karahi was perfect for me. The gravy was very thick, and the spices used were authentic, unlike those found in typical BIR restaurants. The chicken tikka masala curry was lovely. Unlike other Indian restaurants, it wasnt overly sweet and had the right balance of tomatoes and a subtle hint of smokiness. The garlic naan and pilau rice were delicious and complemented both dishes perfectly. Plenty of free parking after 6 PM is always a bonus. I will definitely be returning.

1 /5 Jonathan Cansdale: Horrendous! Ordinarily I won’t post reviews of poor statue however, on this occasion the management/owners need to know what’s being served and how it’s being served. Firstly we were ‘walk ins’ as known in the restaurant industry - we were left standing whilst the staff discussed whether we were going to be seated or not! Not a good start! Welcome your customers with warmth and a smile! The words yes of course we have a table, lovely to see you and thank you for choosing to dine with us would not have gone amiss!! (Don’t take your customers for granted). The food! Onion Bhaji’s dreadful! Gloopy and inedible, along with being tasteless. Chicken Biriani, over salted beyond, Luke warm and all in all an unpleasant taste…… Chicken Tikka Masala, was very average, not enough spices and overall luke warm. Pilau rice left a lot to be desired. Tasteless and also not hot at all. When you see a customer has left 80% of the meal would you not want to ask if everything was alright. That goes to show the standard of the waiting staff, unengaged and there to earn their money with no interest in the business whatsoever. I run a business also, and incentivise my staff to engage with clients and let them leave with a smile on their faces (the customers that’s is) mind you if the staff had a smile on their faces that would have gone a long way. I’ve been dinning in this restaurant for several years and have found the food and service to be of a better standard than that of my latest visit. I’ve also had food delivered from the restaurant that had been very good in the past. Sadly standards have wilted terribly both in quality of the food and the calibre of waiting staff. I for one will not be returning. Businesses thrive on repeat business, continue in the same trajectory and watch your restaurant fail! Take a step back and analyse what you’re doing wrong. Reviews like this one are damaging. Apologies for being so harsh but I speak the truth.
