Taro - (Near Camden, South East)

5 /5 Tonoya Barua: Loved loved loved the menu & the flavours of Taro Sushi & Japanese restaurant , Finchley Road . We enjoyed Everything we ordered from crab stick & tobiko rolls to beef Bibimbaap My fav was the tuna salad, beef Bibimbaap the steamed vegetable dimsum ( unbelievably yummy) . the prawn and vegetable tempura were also very tasty but it lacked seasoning.. I highly recommend going and eating there They are also on Deliveroo .. but I recommend dining in Service was quick & the waiting staff were very helpful.

3 /5 private private: Decent service. Average food. Cheap and cheerful. Lots of meat and poultry dishes but almost nothing for vegans and limited choice for vegetarians. If you can stretch the budget, go to Maido in Saint Johns Wood. For something more affordable but sufficiently authentic Taro may work for you. I am a Maido regular and for me Taro does not work from the food perspective. PS for store managers: your allergen list at the back of the menu is very outdated and dish numbers dont match up with the actual menu.

1 /5 R L: I informed the staff that I’m allergic to shellfish and they mixed the sushi so that everything was all mixed on one platter. The sushi rice tasted super dry & all round I really did not enjoy the sushi to be honest. I also didn’t think the staff were the friendliest either.

2 /5 Esther L: It’s really not worth the stars it has.. the sushi was just plain family style, not made in the traditional Japanese way in any sense. Maybe the hot food would’ve been better. We ordered the Salmon Salad, Sushi Family and also the Cucumber Eel Sushi Roll. It was just very plain, not particularly fresh. We ended with over £55 pounds. The waiters kept asking us what to order and rushing us, the feeling wasn’t great. Anyways, won’t come here again unless I feel hangry.
