The Kennington Carvery and Restaurant - (Near , South East)

5 /5 Discoboy: Done a disco for a wedding here recently and food was decent, friendly staff and thought it was a great venue for a party as a whole, I never knew about this venue till the booking, a true little hidden gem, will have to try the carvery on a Sunday soon

1 /5 m bob: The staff were very helpful and friendly but the food was VERY dry and the potatoes tasted like they had been sat out all day! Super hard to cut through let alone chew! The service was quick. Everything seems very unorganised. The same man that showed us to our seats was the same person who cut our meat. The CHEF ended up taking our payment because no one else was around to do it. bear in mind it wasnt busy, we were 1 of 4 tables that was there. Staff were clearly walking around looking for jobs to do but yet none of them cleared the table next to us for at least 40 mins. and my knife was dirty!! i swapped it was the one next to me and that was also dirty!! will not be coming back

4 /5 Genghis Khan: Very pleasant and helpful staff, had the carvery which had been recommended to us by several people, very generous helpings of meat with a choice of Turkey, Pork, Gammon and Beef, first helping I tried was pork and beef which was exactly to my taste, self service on the veg and I found the carrots could have been warmer and the roast potatoes were a bit on the small side, but just made up for this with the quantity, and not really to my taste, cauliflower cheese and broccoli was fine as was the Yorkshire pudding, went back for a small second helping so as to try the Gammon, which was also very nice, Would I go again? Yes, if I was in the area. Just have to say again how friendly and helpful the young waiting staff were.

2 /5 Yasmin: Wouldn’t bother wasting your money going here, absolutely is on its way out. All the chairs are like old office chairs with stains on them and tables had chunks out of them. Unhygienic with Dirty cutlery and sticky tables. Girl got my order wrong when I asked for a half pint of cola and got given a pint instead. For the low quality and loud atmosphere I would expect charging over £40 for two people to have a carvery would have included good quality hospitality but no. We waited in the queue to get the carvery and the waiter cut in line to get the last bit of beef cut off for himself for his free lunch rather than prioritising paying customers first. Really not on. You don’t even get service in there apart from taking your order. You have to go up to pay for yourself because no one is gonna check in on you. The only good thing I will say is the food was okay, but that’s a stretch.

5 /5 Cah 1: This was our first visit to the Kennington Carvery, and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious and really well presented, with attentive chefs/cooks on hand to keep replenished and looking enticing. The waiting staff were quick, helpful and informative which added to the enjoyment of the visit. We will definitely visit again and would highly recommend.
