5 /5 N Rhaman: We visited to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We were seated downstairs, and it honestly felt like everyone who was brown had been placed there, which made us uncomfortable. We had booked well in advance and felt we could have been given a better table, such as one of the booths. (Couples were placed there)
Our table placement also wasn’t ideal, the waiter had to repeatedly pass through the small private section behind us and kept brushing past my husband, which became irritating. I even had to pull the table much closer to me so he could move his chair forward properly.
For starters, we ordered the prawns and croquettes. I’m really glad the waiter recommended the prawns because they were impeccable. For mains, we ordered steaks with peppercorn sauce. The steaks themselves were superb, but the peppercorn sauce was a letdown, it lacked flavour, wasn’t very creamy, and felt either watered down or not warm enough.
Aside from that one small issue, the food and drinks overall were lovely, and we still enjoyed the meal. With better table placement and a few small improvements, the experience could have been much better.
