The Parlour Tearoom - (Near , South East)

2 /5 Beverley: I am sorry but I do not understand the 5 star rating. The sandwiches and gluten free bread were nice today but the cake and scones were awful. The jam was tasteless and of thin quality as was the cream and the crisps were like cardboard. I had a piece of date and chocolate cake but there were no dates in the slice and only 1 piece of chocolate. It was so dry that I found it difficult to swallow and only had 1 bite and left it….this would be obvious when being cleaned off. Whilst my husbands scone was completed by him and my family also [who did not want to complain as this was an occasion for me] [and we had to pay extra for not having the cake but having a scone instead] and not wanting to spoil it….My husband’s scone was flat and tasted uncooked. The coffee was filter coffee, not good coffee barista and for the price this is not good enough in today’s market. For £18 for the Parlour tea, plus scone extra, you expect better ingredients than today’s. I am not sure if this was just a bad day but we will not recommend and will not go back.

5 /5 Summer: AMAZING! I recently was surprised by my family with an afternoon for my birthday at The Parlour Tearoom and I could not fault anything. The place itself is so beautiful with quirky little quotes, beautiful decor and is spotlessly clean. The service was amazing, all the staff went above and beyond and could not do enough for us. There was 10 of us and nothing was too much trouble, they also ensured we always had what we needed or any extras. The food was exceptional. All the sandwiches were so fresh and tasty! The scones were to die for- still warm with large amounts of cream and jam provided which was so yummy! Then the cakes… well the cakes were just beautiful! Different options to suit everyone and any that wasn’t eaten was boxed up for us to take away. From start to finish the team, environment and food was faultless. Myself and my friends/family will most definitely be returning. Lucy and her team should be very proud of what they have and I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. Thank you ❤️

5 /5 Angela Phillips: Absolutely fantastic little place , my party had various food allergy requirements and this was handled perfectly by the staff who were thorough to check ingredients in things and just check back with us making sure everything was right. It was cozy and welcoming with lots of choice esp gluten free . Food came out quickly and was delicious! Cakes looked fantastic. My lunch was all gluten free and I had a really good coffee with oat milk . Already booked to go again .
