The Plough Inn - (Near Oxfordshire, South East)

5 /5 Julie Jacobsen: My family and I visited the Cotswolds from the United States back in June 2025, and while I’m a bit late in posting this, the experience was so exceptional I had to share. We were searching for the quintessential English pub experience, and we found it here. We loved it so much we actually returned a second time for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious, but what truly set this place apart was the hospitality. Guy, the owner, is perhaps the warmest and friendliest person we met on our travels. He took the time to sit with us and chat about our trip, making us feel like locals rather than tourists. If you want authentic charm and a genuine welcome, this is the place to be!

5 /5 Ellen Hedge: My partner and I stayed in the Cotswolds (Charlbury) this week and walked from our cottage to The Plough Inn. We had a delicious lunch - posh fish finger and a beef sandwich. The triple cooked chips were an added bonus - some of the best we’ve had! The landlords were so friendly and the pub had such a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. If we were staying longer, we would have definitely returned. Highly recommended!

5 /5 Ronnie Bignell: Spent the weekend in Charlbury, but all the pubs were booked for Sunday Lunch - so we came to the Plough Inn and had a lovely meal. Cosy seating inside, but they accommodated our group of 6 + 2 x Dogs very well. Log fire warmed the place nicely.

5 /5 Harry James: Took my 3 teenage daughters to this pub tonight. I’d like to just say that we were met with such a friendly vibe as soon as we walked in, from all of the staff. So polite and warm-hearted. Even when I booked in advance. The service was very attentive and everybody seemed really happy to be eating there. The food was really good, honest pub grub. I never, ever write reviews so the fact that I am compelled to write one means something.
