The Refectory Kitchen - (Near Kent, South East)

5 /5 Justine Chris: We were lucky to get in on a busy and bright Saturday morning. Arrived just before the rush. Menu is quite incredible, lots of great vegetarian options. So hard to choose. They make their own pea-comole a pea based guacamole alternative, much more sustainable than avocado, and totally delicious. If your dish does not come with a homemade hash brown, order one as a side as they are incredible. Service, was slick, attentive and friendly. We don’t live in Canterbury but will certainly be coming back next time we are visiting!

5 /5 Brady Brady: We ate here for breakfast all three mornings we were in Canterbury, May 21-23. The service was very friendly and attentive, and when we had breakfast there the first morning, we decided we wouldnt try our luck anywhere else. Great food, and I finally go to try black pudding (which was okay, but not something this American would try very often again). I highly recommend this breakfast restaurant. Clean and cheery restroom.

5 /5 Fenella Owst: I’ve only been to Refectory Kitchen once, but it didn’t disappoint. I ordered a salad, which can sometimes be a bit underwhelming when you’re out for brunch, but this one was genuinely amazing really fresh, full of flavour, and properly filling. My friend had the French toast so I’ll definitely be going back to try a sweet option next time. It’s on the slightly more expensive side for brunch, but you can tell the quality is there, and it feels worth it for something a bit nicer. Would happily go again.

5 /5 Becky Mae: Quite literally faultless. There was such an enjoyable flow to the service. Everything arrived fast and hot. Everything was delicious. The person who served me was extremely efficient and attentive, an absolute gun. Any other staff member I spoke to was super friendly. The only reason I left so quickly was because a queue was forming outside - a testament to the quality here - and it was bitterly cold outside, so I felt bad taking up a table just by myself. I don’t often leave reviews, but I just wanted to say thank you. I’m a full-time carer and rarely get time to go out and about for solo dates like this. I may have just been an in-and-out in 20 minutes customer, but for those 20 minutes, I had a really relaxing, enjoyable time. Thank you for looking after me guys, it means a lot. Will be back again xxx Pictured is the deluxe hot chocolate (I added 2 shots of coffee) and the eggs bennie royale (I added smashed avo). Delicious! P.s. Don’t forget to tip. :)

5 /5 Yasmin Davies: Was very pleased with my visit here! Friendly, kind service all around, laid back, cozy atmosphere and delicious food! Had a separate vegan menu which is greatly appreciated! Cannot reccomend this place enough!
