5 /5 Shah Ali: Had a very nice meal at Zaffran today enjoyed their lamb shanks and lamb dansak, really flavourful. Highly recommend it. The service was good staff were attentive definitely will be going back soon.

1 /5 Srikanth: Worst place ever, I recommend no one goes here. I wanted to order egg fried rice and they were like you cant eat unless you order something more. I was like I will order if I want to eat more later and they were like you need to order a main dish. For me egg fried rice is my main dish. It was really insulting. This would be my 1st and last time visiting this place and never will. My marriage is coming up soon, I have been trying out multiple restaurants for catering and if I liked the food and experiece here, I would have considered it for catering to my wedding. Just for such a small thing they lost a whole business from me. Really foolish. Now I know why many restaurants are closing down in the area due to their foolish arrogance. I just came to Radhuni Indian restaurant nearby just beside it and ordered the same and they served it. Good people!

5 /5 Sabrina Hussain: I went to Zaafran yesterday and it was one of the best Indian dining experiences. All the food was hot and fresh and packed with flavour, from the starters to the main. The staff were great and attentive at all times. The really recommend this restaurant and I can’t wait to come back again.

1 /5 Eileen: Firstly food was delivered cold considering the restaurant is 3minutes from my home this was my first disappointment, but I have a microwave and didn’t want to be a complainer.. then I dish and taste the food which was most certainly not what I had ordered a hour before hand my food was bland flavourless and filled with lemon and had a sweet sauce the dish was meant to be spicy I called the restaurant to ask them to correct this as I had spent almost £50 and I was verbally attacked being told this was their own ‘version’ of the curry and if I want it to be spicy I should eat the separate chilli’s provided absolutely disgusting customer service I will never order from here again and will go above and beyond to be sure everyone local is well aware of this un authentic flavourless establishment. Shame on you. Next step is to upload the video of our phone conversation work on your customer service skills after you learn to send the correct food to hard working paying people. Thanks.

1 /5 Darren Hatton: This restaurant used to be one of the best Indian restaurants in Essex, but since coming under new management it has gone completely downhill. The staff were unfriendly, we were seated at a dirty table, and given sticky menus and grubby glasses. The poppadom salad was mashed and clearly not fresh, and the yogurt sauce was off. My partner’s main arrived long before mine and was lukewarm. My chicken korma eventually arrived with only four small pieces of chicken and was barely warm. The onion bhajis were clearly reheated and mushy. Most of the staff, including the manager, were rude, and no one checked on us during the meal. The only hot thing was the towels with the bill. We paid and left having hardly touched the food. Very disappointing.
