Nick Simmons We’ve visited this pub a few times over the last few weeks. It’s much, much better than I remember. Yesterday I was looked after by Edie, as a family have got to know her quite well and one of the main reasons that we visit. She is always polite and full of beans. All the staff are great but Edie goes above and beyond, what a legend.

Andy Handprint Excellent snacks, particularly the Coxhina. Great scratchings. For those who like making stock, they sell pigs trotters. All the meat looks pretty good and is a reasonable price. Friendly staff too.

Caroline Wiggs The food was absolutely superb and the staff friendly and polite. Unfortunately, tables were very close together and it was difficult to hold a conversation because of the volume of noise originating from nearby tables.

Mariam.LeeLoo The Meeting Place is an absolute gem by the seaside! The atmosphere is bright and welcoming, with a stunning sea view that makes it the perfect spot to relax over brunch or lunch. The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Whether you’re after a leisurely brunch, a light lunch, or just a coffee with a view, this is the perfect place. Highly recommend!

Dean Field We booked in for a Sunday Roast while staying In Brighton for the weekend. The Better Half Pub was Highly recommended by locals we met. A Delicious Sunday Roast with various meats on the menu, we had Roast Sirlion. Of Beef and Roast Lamb, both cooked perfect soft and tasty, accompanied by roast potatoes seasoned veg, and a large Yorkshire Pudding. Great value for money and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend .

Houssam Selma I just want to say a huge thank you to Ben, the owner, who’s been an absolute gentleman! I recently hired the downstairs venue to host my partner’s baby shower and birthday, and the staff were nothing short of incredible. Big shoutout to Fred and the whole team for making the day so special! We had such a wonderful experience — everything went perfectly — and I honestly can’t wait to hire the venue again.
