2 /5 Austen: I went to kokoro yesterday having frequented other locations before and really enjoying the food, this however was my first trip to the portsmouth branch. The staff were very friendly. However I found it a bit strange that 3 staff members were visible yet only one seemed to be doing everything, we were told to sit down and wait to be called despite it being quiet and the same guy that took our order also did the dishing up and calling us up to get our food, as well as keeping cutlery and napkins behind the counter which I did find strange. Regardless the main complaint I have was the food. This was the worst food ive had in a kokoro. The portion was definitely far smaller than any other location ive eaten at before as well as the quality being absolutely lackluster. There seemed to be more skin on the salmon than meat and the quantity was far less than any other shop. It honestly felt like they were trying to save money, which I do understand however 9.55 for a bit of rice and a tiny portion of salmon skin left me feeling robbed. If I was kokoro Id be looking into auditing the place and perhaps providing some training to staff because I probably wont ever go to portsmouth branch again. Disappointed and the feeling of being conned is what I would say to that visit.
