Mary Culver On the last night of our holiday, we visited Bengal Palace. A lovely Indian restaurant, formerly a pub. The wonderful aroma of good food hits you as you walk in. There is a pool table to keep you amused while you are waiting for your food, the kids enjoyed having a game. Our food was delicious, hot on arrival and portions very generous. Chicken tikka was cooked to perfection and the flavour was spot on. They do take away and delivery service which seemed to be busy. Its lovely to eat in though. The restaurant is very clean, Id love to sit by the wood burner in colder times, very cosy I would imagine. Toilets lovely and clean and well stocked. Service professional and friendly. Go and try it. You will not be disappointed.

Harris Harris A very large take away order placed for 9 people. Ready in little over 30 minutes for collection. Some extra side dishes that we wouldnt normally order thrown in, along with a few other complimentary bits and pieces including a Bottle of wine. Every one very happy with their dishes, clearly labeled and as described on the menu. Generous portions and way too much food ordered as usual but thoroughly enjoyed and would happily recommend this place if you are in the area!

Alison Handley Had a late lunch here today. Good value and very tasty burgers. I had the chicken burger that was in a lovely crispy coating with bacon, crisp lettuce, Monterey Jack cheese and a chilli jam. Staff were friendly and polite.

Karen Thomas Friendly local Chinese Delivey or Pick up. The food is always yummy. Favorites of mine are the WonTon soup w Big dumplings and the crunchy thick Prawn Toast and generous portion of Satay Chicken. Its always hot and on time. Value for money

lukasz k We visited M&C in Portsmouth for a birthday dinner—it was our first time at this location, though we’ve been to the Bristol one before. The building looks great from the outside, but the real surprise is the interior. It’s fresh, cosy, and very welcoming. We were served by the lovely Maria, who made us feel right at home. She was fantastic throughout the evening! We ordered drinks, starters, and mains, and everything arrived promptly—drinks first, then our starters shortly after. We had halloumi fries and calamari, both absolutely delicious. About 20 minutes later, our mains arrived: a juicy medium-rare wagyu steak, sea bass, and a rump steak for our little one. Every dish was bursting with flavour. We might have gone overboard with the sides, but they were too tempting to resist. Overall, outstanding service, wonderful food, and a beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be coming back!
