Shaayna Browne Had a great experience today at the Salix cafe being served by Mark. Very chatty and polite , warmed up my meal I bought from home (I have dietary needs) as well as provided me extra sauce and seasonings for the food we ordered from him. Very relaxing environment in the lovely weather and beachfront view , really made me smile with his level of service and kindness. Also the cafe is very clean and well put together , modern decor , great seating arrangement, efficient queing/ordering system didn’t have to wait long for the meal at all. Overall 10s all round.

david venner My family have been using taste of bengal for 35 years+. Hard working family keeping consistency and reputation up. Tandoori butter chicken has been a family favourite over the decades and never fails to deliver. I really appreciate gems like this place & much respect for the reputation built over the years. Every item Ive ordered is always delicious. Thanks guys!

Wildatheart SM Today I visited this restaurant and I really don’t understand the bad reviews. It was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The service was impeccable, attentive, friendly, and professional without being overbearing. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and made to feel welcome. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations. All the waiters were incredibly kind and attentive, especially with my toddler. They catered to her every need with such patience and care, making sure she felt comfortable throughout our meal, which in turn meant, we were fully able to enjoy our meals. Their thoughtful and accommodating service truly went above and beyond. As for the food, it was simply outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour, my photos really don’t do the dishes justice as we were tucking in way before I had chance to snap a quick pic. The ingredients were fresh, and the chefs attention to detail was evident with each bite. I even ordered a huge portion of the salsa as that was phenomenal and I wanted to take some home. Whether youre a fan of hearty mains or prefer lighter options, theres something for everyone. We ordered from the main and set menu, I started with the fish cake, leg of lamb for my main and the Aqua Sundae for dessert. All absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection and so many tasty flavours and textures. They don’t have a kids menu but will let you choose items from the main menu in a smaller portion. Overall, Aqua delivers not just a meal, but an experience. Its clear that both the kitchen and the front-of-house staff take pride in what they do, and it shows in every aspect of the dining experience. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a place where great food meets exceptional service and a lovely atmosphere! Really enjoyed the music selection too! Really adds to the ambience. I will most definitely be back.

Sam I had gone to the Himalaya restaurant in Green Street after a very long time, so I did a double take when I saw it had been refurbished. In fact, I thought it was a completely different restaurant at first glance. It was cosy inside and the decor was aesthetically pleasing. Service wise, it was the same as how its always been- you select the food you want at the counter, pay for it, and then sit down at your table and wait for the food to arrive. My friend and I had between us, a chicken biryani, grilled chicken tikka and a chicken seekh kebab, there was a small salad and yogurt raita and chilli sauce on the side. Overall the food was flavoursome and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The experience was relaxing and enjoyable and I would recommend the restaurant.

Shelly Ali I went with a couple of friends on 12th Sept. The staff were really polite, patient and very helpful. The food was on point. My steak was cooked perfectly and the mash was absolutely delish! A relaxed vibe and a great place to visit with family or friends. Super easy to get to via public transport, only a 5 minute walk from Whitechapel station. Definitely plan on visiting again with the family.

L Medd Stunning food, friendly staff and efficient service - perfection! Octopus was perfectly cooked. Hot bread, padron peppers, tiger prawns, croquettes, chorizo was all tasty.
