okko

Okko - Hackney

Rating: 4.4 /5
Leia Malot What a lovely surprise Okko was. My friends and I were looking for a space to accommodate us with no booking; and am I glad they found a spot for us. We had lots of bites to share; it was plenty of food to divide between 3 people. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. I am thoroughly impressed in particular by the salmon nigiri - it was the best I’d ever had. I also want to praise the service; we had the sweetest waitress. She was attentive, served us with a big smile, and made us feel at home. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a low-key, cosy japanese restaurant. Super experience.

The Snapery East - Hackney

Daria Dikovskaya INSANE pain suisse. Trust me (I go at least once a week). After trying all the bakeries & coffee shops in the London Fields, Hackney Central and Cambridge Heath areas, Snapery East remains the best one.

Third Culture Deli - Hackney

Joyce Ding Really cute deli at Broadway Market! Coffee’s always good and they’ve got such a fun mix of indie food and drinks. The vegan cheese is a winner. I’m obsessed with the black truffle one!! Always a nice stop when I’m around.
mess cafe

Mess Cafe - Hackney

Rating: 4.6 /5
Jan HlaviÄŤka A friend recommended Mess Cafe to me, and I can say with certainty that our friendship has been elevated as a result. There is not a single aspect of this establishment I could criticise. The interior is intimate and elegantly cosy, the staff are unfailingly attentive and gracious, and the food is of such quality that it feels almost transportive. The menu is so enticing that we spent a considerable amount of time simply debating our choices, as every dish appeared worthy of selection. With only around twenty five tables in total, advance booking is highly advisable. I fully intend to return and explore more of what this exceptional kitchen has to offer.
