The service is friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing, perfect for enjoying a meal with family or friends. I’ve been here multiple times and the consistency is excellent. Highly recommend Tawa Grill to anyone looking for delicious food and great service. I will definitely keep coming back!

4 /5 Nauman Raja: We had a mixed experience! The food quality was good (4/5), and nicely presented dishes(4/5). The Tawa grill was nicely done, well-cooked and full of flavour. The chicken and lamb curry also tasted good, though both would have benefited from having more sauce, as they felt slightly dry (3.5/5). Portion sizes felt slightly small for the price (2.5/5), and service was the weakest part of the visit (2/5), as it felt slow and not very attentive. With more generous portions, better balance in the curries, and improved customer service, it has strong potential to become a much better dining option.

5 /5 Abdul Aziz: I popped into Tawa Grill on 2 November with my two sons, knowing it would be our last visit before they close on 3 November after their lease couldn’t be renewed. It’s a real shame for Gants Hill — I’d say it’s a genuine loss to the local food scene. We ordered the Lahori Tawa Grill billed for 2–3 people. What arrived was enormous — honestly big enough to feed a family of five — and packed with authentic, well-balanced flavours. The spices felt true to form rather than overplayed, and everything tasted fresh and simply delicious. We also tried the samosa chaat, which hit the right notes of tang and crunch, and the mango lassi was spot on — creamy and not overly sweet. Service was impeccable from start to finish. The front-of-house were attentive, friendly and efficient; nothing to complain about there. It made the evening feel a little special, particularly knowing it was their penultimate night. If there’s a caveat, it’s not about the food or service but the bittersweet context: they’re closing because the lease has run out and, at time of writing, they haven’t secured a new premises. I sincerely hope they manage to reopen elsewhere — this is a kitchen worth keeping in the neighbourhood. Overall: excellent, authentic food, generous portions and top-notch service. Gants Hill will miss it.
