Chloe Jackson Just had a delicious meal from The Shad! Chicken Dhansak, Pilau rice, garlic and coriander naan, with mint sauce and their homemade red sauce. Tasty, hot, fresh!!! Excellent. Will be back!

Pizzatastic (Pizzatastic) Attended the Makcaris in the bandstand today for a late lunch as recently moved back to the area. I wasn’t sure what to expect as I didn’t know much about the place but when they gave us our food we were speechless (in a good way) at the quality and presentation of the food. And it taste as good as it looked! The pricing for a coffee, Coke Zero, club sandwich and French toast was just under £30 which is quite steep - but for a treat and the quality it was I think the pricing is fair. The staff were also lovely and polite, will definitely be revisiting.

jayne leaver What a great little place in the heart of Herne bay… booked for Sunday lunchtime and had a fabulous meal.. we were a party of 5 and all had something different and all enjoyed excellent food and SO much of it that we all took a doggie bag home… Staff were friendly and welcoming will definitely return
