Jekyll & Hyde -
Adam Leach We have been wanting to visit the pub for a long time but then it shut down. With it re-opening with the new owners, we took the opportunity to visit.
We went on a Saturday lunch time and it was moderately busy with people both inside and outside. The inside has a traditional pub feel and vibe. The outside has a larger beer garden and playground for any children. There is a large lawn area for kids to run around or for people to sit if the weather is nice.
We had mains and deserts and all of the food was fantastic. The portion sizes were generous and everything we had was tasty. The price was very reasonable for the area.
The menu had around 6-7 starters, mains and deserts which meant it was easy to choose something with all the dishes being cooked fresh. I hate pubs that have huge menus.
Service was good but it could be improved. Most of the staff were very young and they did try hard. It was just the little things that needed brushing up e.g. bringing spoons with hot drinks etc. so nothing major.
Overall we were all very impressed and we will be back again. I would really like to try their Sunday roast.
To everyone at Jekyll and Hyde, well done, you have a cracking pub.
