Ansar Alahi Wood Flames on Leyton High Road is a hidden gem. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh ingredients, generous portions, and full of flavour. The staff were polite and welcoming, and the service was quick. You can tell they care about quality. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!

Opeyemi Alexandra The food was so good. I can’t remember the last time I had abula that was this good. The meat was so soft too. We cleared our plates. They had so many options on the menu but since the reason we came was to eat abula, we focused on that. We will be back to try the rest of the menu. The service was also very good. Chris Taylor We attended Bread Street on Boxing Day 2025 as a large group for a special occasion. Prior to the event, one of the managers, allowed me to make the experience extremely personal and conducted professionalism throughout, making seating adjustments and restaurant adjustments so that our experience was perfect. On the day of the event, every detail was carried out to perfection, the managers had clearly communicated the details of the plan perfectly. To the food now… every one of our 21 guests all agreed that the food was incredibly tasty, cooked with integrity and timely served. The service from start to finish was second to none! Not to mention the choice of food of the menu ranged between fish and chips, to burgers and steaks, as well as very child-friendly options. Extreme compliments to the chefs!! The views of Canary Wharf were beautiful too! We could not have asked for a better time on this day and I would like to thank all of the staff from the restaurant that allowed for this occasion, she said yes too! We will definitely be returning and I will be recommending this to clients, friends and family.

Yuqi Wang My Bulgarian friend takes us here - super authentic, good portion and fairly priced. There are dishes that I never tried before on the menu, hard to find elsewhere otherwise. Taste was good - my favourite is beef tongue.
