5 /5 Diane Thompson: My friend invited me to the Blue Rock Caribbean restaurant on Saturday 11 December. I read the reviews about the restaurant. They were good. I have to say that the reviews about the food and the staff are well deserved. We had to wait a while for the food but it was worth the wait. I had the jerk chicken with rice and peas with fish. Delicious! I tasted the curry goat ordered by my sister. Awesome! I ordered some to take home. Please support local businesses particularly ones that serve great food! I will definitely be returning to sample their other dishes.

I was given such a friendly welcome from the owners Margaret and Steve, both of whom are very charming, convivial and courteous hosts. Previous posts have mentioned the wait while food is being prepared, but I didnt mind at all - food is cooked in small batches, so it is super fresh. The tranquil decor, the quality of the ingredients and the careful cooking (reminded me of eating at a dear friends mums house in Trinidad), the very clean premises cannot be faulted.I had a perfect oxtail with rice and beans. I suspect the owner is something of an artist, as it looked so beautiful on the plate - If only I wasnt so greedy, Id have taken a photograph! Very highly recommended.
