Spruce Goose Beefeater -

Rating: 3.7 /5
Explorer First of all, although the name says “Beefeater,” it’s absolutely not just about beef. The menu has a great variety of options for everyone. On this visit, I tried the veg lasagne and the butter chicken with naan — and both dishes were fantastic. The veg lasagne was honestly one of the best I’ve ever eaten. It was perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and had just the right balance of cheese, sauce, and vegetables. You can really tell care goes into the preparation. The butter chicken was also very well cooked and tasted delicious. It was slightly on the sweeter side for my preference, but it was still rich, flavourful, and enjoyable. The naan paired beautifully with it, making it a very satisfying meal overall. For dessert, I had cake with ice cream, and it was absolutely awesome — a perfect sweet ending to the meal. They also have a good selection of drinks available, and the unlimited refills on soft drinks are a great bonus. I also found out they offer unlimited breakfast for just £11, which sounds like amazing value. I’m definitely planning to go back soon to try that! On top of the great food, the vibe of the place was really nice — relaxed and welcoming. The hospitality was excellent, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout. Overall, a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommended, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Caroline Aherne Large room at back - its like being in a glasshouse, overlooking a garden. Staff were friendly, efficient and we hadwater &bread replaced with ease. We went at lunchtime so both a l carte & set menu available. My main was skate and fabulous. The dessert of Passion Fruit baked Alaska was quite disappointing - I was expecting a tall mound of meringue on an ice cream sponge base but instead the base was a bit hard - like a biscuit and the filling was a sorbet. It was very flat. Coffee good.

Tom Flanagan If youre thinking of booking The Depot for a wedding stop reading this and get it booked immediately. We had the absolute best day there and its a great venue to get married in. Shannon and Imogen couldnt be more helpful and its basically like having your own wedding planners, The Depot also put everything out and pack everything down so its about as stress free as possible. We normally find wedding food pretty average but the canapes and buffet here were absolutely banging. We also had a couple of cocktail hours with multiple bespoke cocktails and shots and this was handled with ease. Our wedding was about as non traditional and DIY as you can get and included a 4 piece string quartet, a service in the Depot, a couple of musical performances and a DJ, all handled expertly and with ease. We loved that as there were as no hire fee, only minimum spend, every penny we spent went back into the guests. What are you still reading for, get booking. Tom & Danielle

Keith Bridges Nice, sophisticated décor and a friendly waitress. The food was excellent — huge portions and beautifully presented. Only downside was items missing from the menu, which meant our vegetarian diner was limited to just the vegetable skewers. That was disappointing. Aside from that, a very good experience. Sapna Saxena One of the best place to have proper Punjabi food. They are famous for their stuffed Kulchas which are served Chole, raita and salad. We also ordered Chicken Tikka and butter chicken with garlic naan which was just amazing. Apt on flavours and great portion size. Service is quick and fresh food is served which is piping hot. Keema Kulcha is proper mutton keema which has smoky spicy flavours. Goes so well with Raita and Chana masala. Achar and salad served make it extra rich in flavours. They also give a dollop of butter which is must for a proper Punjabi stuffed parantha or Kulcha. If you are in London and craving for fresh authentic Punjabi food, don’t look anywhere else just check for Kulcha Express.
