Laura Quinn Came to Kudasai due to the 5* reviews with no expectations really. Walked into a really relaxed cafe atmosphere, which the amazing chef Joel converts into a Japanese restaurant from 6-10pm Tuesday to Saturday. Wow. I can honestly say we had a 5* experience. The food blew expectations out of the water. The fish was fresh, sushi perfect, the crispy rice and miso aubergine were out of this world and you could tell the wasabi didn’t come out of the usual packet. It was fresher. And hit the spots! We spoke to the chef at the end and what a pleasure it was. A must try in Balham! Thank you so much! We will be back for open mic night.

Irene Zhou I had half peri peri chicken with fries. Very well grilled and seasoned. I can eat quite a bit for a woman; but still had trouble finishing the meal because the portions were generous. Highly recommend. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Dee Abbott Fantastic Sunday Roast. Pork belly was melt in the mouth good with crispy crackling, as was the Beef roast, enormous Yorkshire pud and huge helpings of veg and roast potatoes. Excellent and friendly service from all the staff particularly Vicky our table server. Booking a table was very easy and from the moment we entered the pub staff were very helpful and professional. Highly recommend a visit.

Rebecca Lewington Popped in at random for a pint and stayed for Sunday lunch! Rolled pork belly stuffed with Cumberland sausage over tasty roasted veg topped with a noble Yorkshire pudding. Yum! Nice staff, too, including young Mark.

Shane McGlynn What a find! I love this place and it so deserves their high rating on Google. It feels like proper Japanese food, so tasty. Sinda and her team are so friendly and helpful. I will be back.
