1 /5 zhang duo: We bought two lattes, one Americano, and two pieces of bread at this shop. When the clerk asked if we wanted the order to-go or for here, I said "to-go" because we might end up eating while walking halfway through. There were several white people sitting at the seats by the door, drinking coffee from takeaway cups. However, as soon as we sat down, a waiter told us in an unfriendly tone that we couldn’t sit there, claiming the prices were different. When I asked if we could pay an extra fee to sit by the door and finish our food before leaving, he became extremely rude. Is it because we are Asians that we don’t deserve to be spoken to politely? We are paying customers too and should be respected. Didnt expect to be discriminated against just for having breakfast like this.
Moreover, when the white waitress saw me carrying two cups of coffee from inside and having no hands free to open the door, she arrogantly ignored me. Yet, she greeted other customers with a smile and held the door open for them when they came in with empty hands. Such discriminatory service deserves to be condemned in todays society.
