3 /5 Dina Karakash: We booked a table for a birthday dinner and left a note about the occasion, but it was completely overlooked. Meanwhile, the guests next to us received a dessert with a candle. The restaurant wasnt busy at that time.
The atmosphere was quite pleasant, and the concept of bringing the check in a French book was a charming touch. The service was friendly and attentive, but unfortunately, the food did not live up to the expectations set by the reviews. The menu lacked fish options and featured some rather unusual combination of dishes.
As for the meals we ordered, the "Brittany cornfed" chicken breast, supposedly roasted in its jus, was actually a chicken leg, and it was disappointingly dry and tasteless. The garlic spinach helped to add some flavour but couldnt fully rescue the dish.
The Canard, a roasted duck magret with apricot and almond sauce, spinach purée, and straw potatoes, sounded promising but was lacking in taste and failed to offer any interesting combination of textures or flavours. It felt like a random mix rather than a cohesive dish.
The Les 12 escargots, snails with garlic butter and aromatic juice, were especially disappointing—tasteless except for the overwhelming oiliness. They tasted like overcooked mushrooms drenched in oil. The baguette, however, was a saving grace for my partner, who finished the entire basket.
The crème brûlée looked authentic but was overly sweet and too large, even for someone with a sweet tooth. The lemonade was similarly overwhelming in its sweetness.
