5 /5 Sabrina S: I had such a lovely experience at Lucas Giraffe in Gatwick and honestly couldn’t fault it. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt really welcoming and relaxed, which is exactly what you want when you’re travelling and possibly feeling a bit stressed.
The food was genuinely really good – better than I expected for airport dining. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared, and you could tell care had gone into it. The portion sizes were generous and great value for money, especially considering it’s in Gatwick where prices can sometimes be higher. The presentation was also really nice, which made the whole experience feel a bit more special rather than just a quick airport meal.
A special mention to Lucas, who was our server – he was absolutely brilliant. He was friendly, attentive and really professional, making sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. He had such a positive attitude and really added to the overall experience. It’s always nice when someone goes the extra mile, especially in a busy airport environment, and Lucas definitely did.
Service was quick without feeling rushed, which I really appreciated. We had enough time to properly enjoy our food before heading to our gate. It’s such a relief to find somewhere reliable to eat before a flight, and this will definitely be my go-to spot at Gatwick from now on.
Overall, amazing food, fantastic service (especially from Lucas!) and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend if you’re travelling through Gatwick and want something tasty and satisfying before your flight!
