After a long, tiring day at work, we were looking forward to a relaxing evening—and Asil exceeded every expectation. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was absolutely amazing—elegant, warm, and perfectly suited for a special occasion. The food was outstanding in every way: beautifully presented, full of flavor, and clearly prepared with great care and passion. Every dish we tried was delicious and left us wanting more. What truly made the evening extraordinary, however, was the hospitality of the hosts. Their attention to detail and genuine kindness touched our hearts. They surprised us with special music dedicated to our anniversary, which created such an emotional and joyful moment. To make it even more special, they brought us a beautiful anniversary cake, something we were not expecting at all. That thoughtful gesture made us feel truly celebrated and valued. Holly Velvick Just had a delicious meal at the Hand & Sceptre. Great atmosphere, lots of choice on the menu and very attentive, friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. I can highly recommend the halloumi fries and rotisserie chicken, everyone said their meal was lovely and hot with lots of flavour. We will be back.

Favour Godwin It was my first time visiting the restaurant, we went on a Sunday around 1.30pm. We were there for brunch and was served by Pedo, he was great and made sure our experience was enjoyable. The food selection in the menu is great, the price is affordable, the portion sizes are really good. The food is fresh and came out hot. Everyone was pleased with what they got. Overall it was a good experience, because of the time we went we made reservations as it gets very busy around lunch time, however they try their best to accept walk-ins. The only area to improve on would be their online booking system and contact. The number on the webpage at the time of me attending the restaurant didn’t work (13.04.25) I was not sent a confirmation for my booking and there was no way of me amending my booking so I had to make several bookings when my circumstances changed. If there was a smoother online booking system that would be perfect. But I’d still give them a 5* rating as that didn’t take away from the experience. The restaurant is great for casual dining. We had a great time and will definitely be back. I’d gladly recommend this place to any and everyone.

Llewelyn Jones Went for dinner here with a big group of friends for someone’s birthday. We were so warmly welcomed with care attention and detail. This restaurant is phenomenal. The food was delicious atmosphere great and I cannot wait to return and try everything else on the menu! Highly recommend, so great to find places that are truly community spaces. Businesses like these should have reduced rent or funding to develop and maintain the unique culture they bring. It’s the authenticity of the food in the experience which is over and above most other restaurants.
