Manzis - Westminster

Supersupergirl Manzis in Soho is a hidden gem with ocean-themed decor, crab salt pepper shakers and British local seafood dishes. Prices are surprisingly reasonable for Soho and they have some dishes like soup and pasta from Brasserie Zedel as they are part of the same group. Overall, it was lush when spot on but found them inconsistent hence havent been recently. I dined here last year when they recently opened. The highlight is the fish and chip burger. When the fish was perfect, ie coating, moist delicate fish and fresh fluffy crisp pale chips, the whole thing was insane. The tartar sauce and pink onions were so good. Another time the brine was too strong so it was salty lacking the taste of fresh fish which led to it burning the batter quicker. The colour of the batter of the second and third visit was different to the first. The chips on the visit were done for ages before it was assembled. It was just me there but unfortunately they had a party upstairs so kitchen was understaffed. The butter chicken they serve is unique as you get a big piece of chicken thigh with skin.

Grill Junction - Buckinghamshire

Rating: 5 /5
Muqadas Akhtar I recently visited Grill Junction in Bletchley and tried their smash burgers — and honestly, they were some of the best I’ve had in Milton Keynes! The patties were perfectly cooked with that signature crispy edge and juicy inside that makes a proper smash burger stand out. The seasoning was just right, and the combination with their fresh buns and toppings made every bite full of flavour.

Ama Sushi -

Stephen Locke Magnificent sushi, with a wide range of choice and freshly made to order. Everything we had was perfectly seasoned and just the right temperature, with a wide range if textures too. The best sushi weve had since we were in Japan 5 months ago. Good value too. We ate in, to enjoy the freshness. The surroundings are functional but clean and comfortable enough.

Tony Jones Loverly dog friendly pub, we had the lunch time menu and it was excellent, the kebab was a very generous portion, they have a great selection of beers, some cider and a couple of stouts, we tried a few and they were all good. We chose to sit outside as the weather was good but dogs are also welcome inside. They also have a pool table which was good fun.

Le Bar a Vin - Greenwich Wine Bar - Greenwich

Sarah Fowkes They sat us at a moments notice when our previous booking nearby was not satisfactory. Their ability to be accommodating on a busy Saturday is what used to be seen as standard in the service industry, now sets them far above competitors. The ambience was very relaxed and extremely comfortable, we never felt rushed, service was on hand but not pushy, we were left to have our time together, which was perfect. So many places are overbearing and invasive these days as they want a quick turnover, but they know how to pitch it. The food was superb, we had the starters and mains ... just a couple of choices but perfectly executed. I travel globally with a large corporate hospitality provider, and am very happy when I find great places in London. People want experiences, not a quick feed at exorbitant prices, I was very pleased with this experience and will be back.
