5 /5 Saadia Aden: I stopped by Jerk Sheperd/Goso around 9pm for the first time, and the food really impressed me. The jerk lamb was tender and packed with flavour a beautiful balance of savoury and sweet spice that lingered in the best way. The cheesy beef patty had that authentic, homemade feel, and the dumpling was soft, lightly seasoned, and reminded me a bit of flatbread comforting and satisfying.
The slaw and plantain were fresh and bright, adding a nice contrast to the richness of the meal. Honestly, I don’t mind waiting a little if the food’s this good fresh veg, bold flavours, and care in the cooking make it worth it.
A lovely first visit, and definitely not the last, special thank you to Omario, for making us feel so welcome.
