Phoenix Restaurant - (Near Lewisham, london)

REG Voluez vous Parlez avec moi, Ce soir? Goes the PG version of Lady Marmalade - the song popularised by Christina Aguilera et als 2001 cover for Baz Luhrmanns Moulin Rouge. This has zero relevance to Parlez, the bar and restaurant adjacent to Brockley overground station, I just liked the idea of it. Parlez (bar and restaurant) is a great bar and restaurant and a lovely place to stop by for drinks, food and more if you are in the area. Service is quick and friendly. We ordered the Sharing Mezze thing for 2 opting for the Chicken and Lamb. Both of these were delicious as were the other aspects of the meal (bread, olives, various dips). Good range of drinks and the toilets were nicely decorated, clean and flushed well when prompted. I would come back here for food, drinks and more. They sometimes show the football on a big screen when its important (World cup etc).

Nina Akhter This restaurant delivers a comforting and satisfying desi dining experience. The naan is soft, fluffy, and freshly made, with just the right amount of browning and a light buttery finish—perfect for scooping up curry. The curry is rich and full of flavor, with a well-balanced blend of spices and a thick, hearty texture. The meat is tender and cooked to perfection, and the garnish of fresh coriander adds a nice, aromatic touch. Portion sizes are generous, the food tastes homemade, and everything pairs beautifully together. A great spot if you’re craving authentic, comforting South Asian food. Highly recommended for naan-and-curry lovers!

Bluee Vibrant I came here in June for my daughter’s 10th birthday, the staff were amazing and they even gave my daughter a free birthday pankcakes. The food was amazing also and delicious, the only issue was the beans were salty and the fried dumplings was a little hard but overall I still enjoyed the food and I will definitely be attending again to try out more on the menu. I love what they are doing and very happy they are place locally to me. Keep making everyone proud ❤️

Alberta Muneca Several times we went for lunch and we enjoyed the tasty and delicious meals cooked by Sally’s hands. Great attention for detail and very good service, definitely recommend it. City Noodle will indulge you with flavourful food.

Tuğrul Karataş We had a fantastic experience at Meze Mangal. The mezes were absolutely delicious and full of flavour. The lamb liver is a must-try – perfectly cooked and incredibly tasty. The meats were also excellent, juicy and very well seasoned. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and genuinely hospitable, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, everything was spot on. Highly recommended if you’re looking for great Turkish food and warm hospitality!

Tim S I dont know what all the hate is about in some of these reviews - I ordered delivery from here and the food was great. It even came in an insulated bag so it stayed hot! Maybe those looking for Cantonese style food will be disappointed - this is Sichuan style. I had the jianbing ("Tianjin Crepe") and it was fine, but the pork noodles with tomato and egg were delicious.
