Chandrika Cycil We love Nippon! We have been ordering takeaway and going in for a while now. We love going in. The service is amazing. They are lovely with our children and take a special interest and take time to make sure we can enjoy our meal. The food choice is wonderful and we have enjoyed everything we ate there. They do lunch specials every weekday which are great value. We always have the Japanese tea with our meal/ I have tried the saki cocktails once and it was great! - We have regularly tried all their lunch specials: bento boxes, donburi, curries and ramen. Our favourites from what we’ve tried over our visits : - Katsu curry - Omu rice - Japanese fried chicken - Bento boxes (esp tempura, teriyaki) - Donburi (beef and pork were good. It’s the ones we’ve tried) But you really can’t go wrong with what you eat there. We will keep going back as it’s our regular lunch choice during weekdays and weekends. Thank you for the great service and food Nippon team!

lukasz k We visited M&C in Portsmouth for a birthday dinner—it was our first time at this location, though we’ve been to the Bristol one before. The building looks great from the outside, but the real surprise is the interior. It’s fresh, cosy, and very welcoming. We were served by the lovely Maria, who made us feel right at home. She was fantastic throughout the evening! We ordered drinks, starters, and mains, and everything arrived promptly—drinks first, then our starters shortly after. We had halloumi fries and calamari, both absolutely delicious. About 20 minutes later, our mains arrived: a juicy medium-rare wagyu steak, sea bass, and a rump steak for our little one. Every dish was bursting with flavour. We might have gone overboard with the sides, but they were too tempting to resist. Overall, outstanding service, wonderful food, and a beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be coming back!

chloe imlah Absolutely amazing hidden gem! All the waiters are elderly Italian gentleman which made the service authentic whilst all being very welcoming & friendly. The food was incredible! We both had fresh pasta for our main - it melts in your mouth. Loved the gnocchi the most! Will definitely be returning ✨

Jackson Matthew “Jacko” I have bought a prawn and avocado sandwich from Muldoons for the past couple of days. The granary bread was so fresh it must have been baked that morning. The filling was generous and very tasty. Service was very friendly and quick from the lovely ladies working there. They certainly know how to make a decent sandwich and one that will fill you up too! If you are considering a visit Id recommend it wholeheartedly.
