5 /5 Chris H: A brilliant local pub with a welcoming atmosphere and a great sense of community. The team are friendly, the service is spot on, and it’s a cracking place to enjoy a game of darts or just relax with a drink. Always a good night at the Star and Garter.

5 /5 Lee Bradey: Great pub, landlady and husband very friendly. Bar staff very polite. Had the build your own burger, and onion rings....best burger in a long time. Great value for money, will be definitely coming again.

1 /5 Paul Jackson: I like a pub with a “local” feel so this was about right for me. The fact it is a chain sort of helps as the food is usually pretty decent. I was wrong. 2 onion rings does not a portion make. I could forgive the kiddy portions if I hadn’t spent the entire time being stared at by the barman with a look of a man whose family I have just brutally murdered. Kind of off putting. I ended up leaving 3 quarters of my pint as I felt he was about to attack me. Then the food. I had a burger that just tasted of beef mince. Yes I know that’s what burgers are but they tend to have some flavour that isn’t just fried up mince. I knew I was right when I walked the 2 minute walk home, got in the door and projectile vomited the entire burger back up. In fairness, the chips were good when drenched in salt.
