5 /5 Tim Beech: Amazing little spot in a very cosy bay. Feels almost original in its concept and very hidden away. Had a crab and sweet potato pasty, both great (huge recommendations for the sweet potato one). Well worth stopping for lunch although not sure kids are as well accommodated with the food.
5 /5 Callum Wright: The lovely ladies and exceptional scenery of Steephill Cove make eating at The Crab Shed a wonderful experience and I havent even mentioned the famous Crab Pasties yet! They were absolutely delicious, hot, straight out of the oven and tasted incredible! Crab mixed with vegetables inside a flaky pasty - whats not to love? The pictures say it all. You cannot miss this place, drop in and you wont be disappointed! Fabulous, thank you!
5 /5 Helen Roberts: Delicious food in a beautiful little cove, well worth the climb down. We parked in the Botanical Gardens, cost £5 all day (the only option unless you are spending £20+ at the Botanical Gardens, then its free). We walked up the road, past the lovely cricket club and took Love Lane, which leads to the path down to the cove.
5 /5 Wuhan Tang Klan: Mackerel sourdough was fabulous, washed down with a local Island cider and perfectly situated for lovely views.
3 /5 Lisa Guest: The Crab Shed is situated in Steephill Cove. It is approximately 1.5 mile walk from Ventnor, following the Coastal Path. It is very hilly in place. We had heard such good this regarding this place, so decided to go. It is a cute place situated on the cove. It was busy despite it being early lunchtime time. We had come specifically for Crab. There was a queue and couldnt see Crab in the menu. Eventually asked a young member of staff, who was bringing out orders. I was informed they had run out of Crab pasties already and they had nothing else that contained it. We left very disappointed. I appreciate that it is a small business and cannot cater for everyone. I wouldnt bother walking there again. We returned to Ventnor and obtained Crab sandwiches from there.
Мария Форсаж Very cosy family restaurant with tasty food and fair prices. Calamari, pizza bella napoli, tiramisu and decaff coffee were great. Thank you!
Sabina Such good value for money! The family sharing meal is the best. You have so much choice and it is delicious. Even the plain rice is full of flavour. I’ve been there twice in one month now. Great service too!
Taren Krisher We went here on our last night in Battersea.
It’s a small little restaurant that makes delicious authentic Italian pasta dishes. Don’t go here if you are in a hurry; go for the great fresh homemade Italian food and you will enjoy it very much.
Definitely recommended.
David S Great food and very friendly service. The steak and ale pie was amazing, as was the mushroom starter. Thanks to Ben and the team for looking after us.
Alex Firstly, the staff are absolutely lovely, theyre incredibly welcoming and attentive even when the whole place is full!
The french toast is second to none, absolutely amazing, perfect textures, balance and sweetness throughout.
The English breakfast was perfectly seasoned and an excellent sized portion with plenty of variety packed in.
