5 /5 Julia: Shocked by the exquisite quality of this place! From the beginning we were hosted professionally and cordially, the staff was so lovely. The place is gorgeous from top to bottom, with antique polished details in the interior. The cocktail and aperitif list was extensive and exciting, so we started with a refreshing beer, a velvety dark wine-vermouth citrus cocktail reminiscent of a negroni, and oysters. The oysters were huge and fresh. Then we had our mains, the weinerschnitzel was enormous and impeccably crispy and well-cooked. The sauce was good but I think I preferred it without. The steak tartare was glorious! Maybe the best I’ve ever had, much thanks to the prominence of the cornichons and mustard. The fries were pretty good, well-salted, and thin and crispy. The salad was fresh and cute. The house wine was good, jammy and soft, and came in a generous goblet. Lastly, the black forest gâteau was so light and moist, especially with the chocolate flakes that was a great addition. I would have a bit more kirsch in it, but otherwise fabulous. Would love to come back!
