5 /5 Elizabeth Jowett: The Southern Belle was ideally located for my conference trip to Brighton. The rooms were lovely and the bar and food downstairs was excellent! Wendy looked after us so well in the bar, where local people enjoyed the relaxed and friendly ambience. Wednesday night was a special treat when quite a few musicians assembled to play their lovely folk music. It was excellent !

5 /5 Eleanor Gibson: We hired the Cocktail Lounge this weekend for a birthday party - it was perfect!! Rob behind the bar did a fab job of serving up whatever was asked of him and made a special drink for me as I wasn’t drinking alcohol. Kitty sorted our birthday cake, sauce in jugs, plates and forks for us like it was no trouble. The venue looked gorgeous and the sound system was brilliant. We had an amazing night and would recommend the Southern Belle as a venue to anyone who asks!

5 /5 Ferenc Zsiros: Our stay at this hotel was absolutely exceptional. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and very cozy, with a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home right away. The rooms are spacious, perfectly clean, comfortable, and tastefully designed down to the smallest detail. The restaurant is a true experience – excellent food, high-quality ingredients, beautiful presentation, and professional yet very friendly staff. Every meal was absolutely delicious. The biggest highlight of the entire stay is the beautiful, authentic fireplace, which gives the place a unique feeling of warmth, comfort, and luxury. Spending the evening by the fireplace is truly unforgettable and makes this hotel stand out from the rest. We would love to return and can highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, quality, and an unforgettable atmosphere.

1 /5 Ronan Parker: Extremely awful experience. Thought we would pop in for a quick drink before attending an event scheduled for 4pm. I was waiting at the bar for over 20 minutes as they kept on serving everyone but me. People went over and got served instantly despite the fact I had been waiting for ages. Such an infuriating experience. I was standing front and centre and still nothing. I have worked in several bars throughout my life and that kind of service would not be tolerated. The boy with the long hair and girl were to busy chatting away and pleasing who they liked first. Never coming here again, completely ruined my afternoon.

5 /5 Sammy Paget: Lovely, cosy pub and restaurant thats also very dog friendly. Friendly and quick service, and an excellent roast! Good value overall compared to similar places around.
