Leicester Eats & Sips The Punch and Judy pub in Covent Garden is a real hidden gem with so much history behind it. The pub is named after the famous Punch and Judy shows, which have long been part of Covent Garden’s cultural heritage, and you can really feel that sense of history when you are there.
It is part of the Greene King chain, but it does not feel generic at all. The drinks are reasonably priced, especially for such a central London location, and the food looks absolutely delicious. There is also a great selection of beers on offer.
One of the highlights is the balcony seating where you can sit, relax and watch the entertainment and atmosphere of Covent Garden below. There is not a huge amount of space on the balcony, but that just adds to its charm. It really feels like a place you would miss unless you know where to look, as it is slightly tucked away and easy to walk past.
A brilliant little addition to Covent Garden, especially in the summer, with character, history and good value for money.
