I bought four seabass and asked the staff to descale and clean them. I was standing there watching the whole time, and during the process one of my fish was swapped with a stale one. This happened right in front of me.
When I pointed out the issue and asked to exchange the bad fish, the staff member refused. Only after the boss stepped in did they finally take the fish back.
For a fishmonger, honesty and freshness are the bare minimum. Trying to switch fish and then refusing to fix it is unacceptable. I’ve completely lost trust in this shop and will not be coming back.
