5 /5 Seb Carmichael: Zizzi – Canary Wharf
Zizzi had never previously appealed to me, but this visit was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant has a good atmosphere, is clean and well presented, and is clearly popular with younger diners and couples. The standout feature was the portion size — generous and very well prepared. I had the meatballs, which were well seasoned and plentiful. The chicken mains were exceptionally large; I even took food home. The final bill was another surprise in the best way. My average spend for a meal for two in London is around £87 including service, but here it came to £68 in Canary Wharf. A great dining experience with no criticisms — firmly on my recommended list.
