5 /5 D: A pretty area to walk and wander, right next to Old Deer Park and a short walk up river from Richmond town centre. Popular with cyclists, dog walkers and, well, everyone really. The lock’s structures date back to the C19th are Grade II listed. The structures include a bridge so you can do a nice little loop. The bridge allows a great viewpoint of the lock in action if you catch it at the right time.
