Matt Salt We recently visited the Isle of Wight for what has become an annual family holiday — we love the island and always look forward to returning. While staying in Rookley, we were fortunate to be just a short distance from the Hare and Hounds, so we decided to book a meal there. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome. The barman who looked after us (I’m so sorry I didn’t catch his name) was friendly, attentive, and genuinely lovely. The food exceeded all expectations. Even our children, who can be quite particular, thoroughly enjoyed their meals — which says a lot! We were told there was a different chef on that evening as the regular chef was off, so a big thank you to whoever was in the kitchen that night — everything was fantastic. We enjoyed it so much that we returned the following evening for our final meal of the trip — and once again, it was outstanding. Despite different staff and a different chef, the experience was just as good. I had the best gammon I’ve ever tasted — absolutely superb. A special thank you to Paul Avery in the kitchen, and to the two lovely ladies who served us, including Pauline. You were all wonderful, and the food was delicious. We couldn’t fault a thing and will absolutely be returning on our next visit to the Isle of Wight.

Purds sss This restaurant is lovely! I took my children here to break my fast this week (wednesday) and had the best time. Such a relaxed atmosphere and so child friendly. They have space to pray and the athan played which was so nice especially for a revert family like us. The food was delicious and the waitress was amazing! I didn’t get her name but her customer service is the best and was so considerate of my children. Definitely recommend and will return! JazakAllah khair.

Mr J We Visited Yalla Yalla restaurant for the first time on Saturday evening with friends who are regulars eating there, i couldnt have felt more welcome The staff were incredibly friendly, warm & attentive to us throughout the whole evening also helping me a newbie to this style of food navigate through there superb Lebanese menu. The food was beautifully authentic and cooked to perfection, with every dish full of rich, traditional flavours that clearly reflect genuine Lebanese cuisine. The portion sizes were incredibly generous, especially considering how affordable everything was amazing value for such good quality food i can’t recommend this place enough, not only for the amazing food but also for the outstanding service. We will definitely be back!

Maribel Allan We had the sweet potato wedges, and the Pastel de nata. They were very good. The sauces were delicious

Luke B Beautiful Italian restaurant with traditional decor, friendly staff and pleasant ambience. The portions were very generous and reasonably priced, we ordered a starter and main each (for 2 of us) and a 0.5l carafe of rosé wine - the bill only came to £52! We were amazed and will definitely return when next visiting the area. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Raj Tandon A small and enticing menu where the quality of the food really stood out. Five stars as I would definitely return. The tandoori chicken though not the traditional recipe was better than the original, and I have had the original at the restaurant in old Delhi where it originated. A lovely South Indian dhal with sweet undertones. The surprise of the evening was the kulcha naan. I would definitely recommend finishing with the mango soft serve
