5 /5 Sam Aberman: Stopped in for a midweek lunch and was reminded why the Flat Iron formula works so well. Theyve figured out what most restaurants overcomplicate: do a few things brilliantly rather than everything adequately. The menu is refreshingly focused—a handful of steak cuts (plus whatever special is running that day), a tight selection of sides and sauces, and thats it. Youre here for steak, they cook steak, everyones happy. Service was quick and genuinely friendly, the kind where you feel looked after without being interrupted every two minutes. The Kings Cross branch is smaller than some of the others, which actually works in its favour—the intimate space has a nice atmosphere, all warm wood and cosy corners. And the pricing? Reasonable for London, especially for this quality. Sometimes the simple approach is the right one. Who needs more?

5 /5 Robby_Ward_Smiles: Ive been to other locations before but this was my first Carcass Club and it did not disapoint. The one serving me, Dimitra was lovely, once I mentioned this was my first time. attending a Carcass Club, she went through the menu with me and explained the dish as though she made it herself. The food itself was the same exceptional quality you come to expect from Flat Iron, that along with the atmosphere of the restaurant make it a brilliant place for a meal any time of the day. It all ends with a small charm of their brand logo of which you hand to one of the stff and in exchange, you get a free icce cream, which I feel brings the whole thing together. It is really nice seeing good customer interaction and service from start to finish.

5 /5 Joëlle Demot: We ended our London city trip with dinner at Flat Iron, and it was the perfect finale. The food was absolutely delicious and more than generous in portion size. We ordered two steaks along with two sides to share, and it was more than enough for us. To our surprise, when our food arrived, they even added an extra portion of freshly baked fries on the house. Such a lovely gesture! What truly elevated our experience was the outstanding service from our server, Cora. She was genuinely kind, attentive, and truly interested in making our evening special. She gave us excellent recommendations and even sent us off with an extra bag of popcorn and an additional token, knowing we were leaving later that evening. We will definitely be coming back!

5 /5 alkin12345: Restaurants that focus on quality before quantity often get it right. Flat Iron does this perfectly. Small basic menu with 3-4 meat options and a small variety of 6 sides to accompany with a larger range of soft and alcoholic drinks. The steaks are tender, cooked as requested and taste lovely. The cocktails were stylish and made with professionalism with the wine from an obviously good cellar (Not from a supermarket shelf) Of the sides, I thought the Garlic Mash was excellent, with the Truffled Macaroni Cheese being very good, however, the smaller Beef Dripping Chips were like crisps and too salty. The fuller chips were ok, but again just a little too salty. I had to keep drinking water to compensate for an hour after eating. This did not hinder the experience too much and would make me drop this to a 4/5 rating, if not for advice that this was not normally representative of other guest’s experience of the chips on other visits. The atmosphere and décor are suitably nice. The service was to a very good, quick and attentive level, with speedy delivery of drinks and food. The really nice touches are free popcorn upon entrance and Tahitian Vanilla Ice cream upon exit (Which was a real treat!) Very basic, very good. Would go back again.
