Shiny Candi I absolutely adore Pam’s Exotic Jerk Hut in Dockside. It’s my go-to on the weeks I don’t have my children and don’t want to cook, and it never disappoints. The food is proper Caribbean comfort food — full of flavour, cooked with care, and there’s always a great range of choices available. I’ve never turned up and felt like I was scraping the barrel; there’s always plenty to choose from. I’ll be honest — I dont really buy Caribbean food in Kent, I always used to pick it up on my way back from South London, so finding this place locally has been amazing. It genuinely feels like a little taste of home without the long journey. The service is impeccable every single time — friendly, warm, and welcoming. The hut itself is tiny but always spotless, well organised, and beautifully presented. You can tell a lot of pride goes into running this place. My only (very minor!) gripe is that there’s never quite enough coco bread for the patties — but honestly, that just tells you how popular they are. Absolutely love this place and will keep coming back. A real gem.

Sue Lumb Great place! Very helpful staff, and the downstairs bar was open Saturday. Wow! What a lovely room! This is only open for private hire or events like on Saturday, live music. There are toilet facilities too, so you dont have to go upstairs. We sat indoors when the rain started and still enjoyed the music.

Natalie Tj Authentic Malaysian restaurant in Brockley - a gem! Small menu but the dishes are delicious We went early so food came promptly but seemed like the tables after us had to wait quite long for their food - if auntie can serve all the food fast, this place will be winning !

Tim S I dont know what all the hate is about in some of these reviews - I ordered delivery from here and the food was great. It even came in an insulated bag so it stayed hot! Maybe those looking for Cantonese style food will be disappointed - this is Sichuan style. I had the jianbing ("Tianjin Crepe") and it was fine, but the pork noodles with tomato and egg were delicious.

Zainab K Lovely and tasty halal chinese, finally a clean and tidy place you can sit and enjoy Chinese in a great atmosphere rather then a takeaway. Fatima gave exceptional customer service and was very informative. Ordered alot of different items which was all made perfect and can even add naga to make it extra spicy which was great! My fav was the salt and chilly ribs. Would definitely go again.
