4 /5 Thyf: Tried Ethiopian food for the first time and loved it! The aromas when you walk in are amazing – like stepping into your grandma’s kitchen. We shared the meat platter for two (around £30, great value) and every dish was full of flavour, including the veggie options. Eating communally with injera (which is a fluffy, slightly sour bread) instead of cutlery was such a fun and authentic experience.
The decor is simple with colourful Mesob baskets, though there were a few fruit flies and the toilet placement wasn’t ideal. The service wasn’t the best and we had to flag down for attention versus staff being attentive a few times, but we can overlook that on this occasion, because it appeared like they were by themselves. Still, the food more than made up for it. I’d definitely go back!
P.s. the music was so perfect, calm and great for dates as it wasn’t too loud or distracting.
