4 /5 Alper Ozguvenc: The tonkatsu ramen was overall good and satisfying. The broth was nice, but it could have been a bit more flavorful, tonkatsu ramen is usually richer and more intense in taste. The meat was tasty and well cooked, though there was only one piece; considering the portion size, adding a second slice would make the dish feel more balanced.

3 /5 Rhi Mclean: Staff are lovely, and the setting has character and charm. Ramen: had the tonkotsu. It was salty beyond all reason, to the point it made me cough a lot. Didnt have the creamy depth Id expect. Bit disappointing and I wouldnt order again. Toppings were good, pork was melt in your mouth, egg the right softness.

5 /5 JJ: Had Pork Tonkotsu for lunch in this authentic ramen bar. Small, crowded and busy. The pork was only one slice which was a little disappointing, but the broth was amazing and reasonably priced. All ramen are £9.95 at lunchtime. I would have paid more for a bigger bowl. It was busy at 1230, 15 mins for food to arrive after order. Second visit, had Pork Shoyu ramen, really good, better than the Tonkotsu! Visited at 1200 and was served in minutes.

5 /5 Jay Law: I honestly don’t know how to say this without sounding dramatic, but the Tonkotsu at KOI Ramen Bar might have just ruined other ramen for me. Considering I’ve toured Japan (yes, I’m that person), I don’t throw ramen compliments around lightly. But this? This was elite. The broth was rich, silky and deeply comforting — like it had been simmering away with a life plan. The noodles were spot on, the pork was tender, and every bite felt intentional rather than just “assembled”. I’m also notoriously fussy and made a few tweaks to my order — fully expecting at least one raised eyebrow — but they absolutely smashed it. Everything came out exactly how I’d hoped, which is rare when you’re that customer. Service was friendly, atmosphere was relaxed, and the whole experience just worked. Left very happy, slightly smug about my choice, and already planning my return. If I was local this would be my ramen spot now, I’m not mad about it.

The miso noodle soup and the shoyu noodle soup were both outstanding – full of rich, comforting flavor and clearly made with fresh ingredients. The broth was perfectly balanced, noodles had just the right texture, and everything felt freshly prepared with care. Cozy spot with a relaxed vibe, and the quality of the food really speaks for itself. Definitely going back – highly recommend if you’re craving authentic ramen!
