Raj Chinta Great service and food was delicious and flavourful as always. Lot of Veggie and Vegan options. We are served by Yuko, she was communicative and friendly with kids. Food is served without much delay even on Saturday afternoon. Recommended visit for whole family.

Jay Huang Have been coming here for a few years ever since my Lebanese and Algerian classmates recommended this place. After the revamp prices have increased slightly but still reasonable, and the food is still as delicious. Excellent homemade bread, chicken wings and lamb chops!

g t Genuinely the best service I have ever received in my 23 years of life, loveliest couple owns the place and they made me and my mum feel very at home. Bear (their puppy) was a nice surprise as well, he’s our new best friend. The food? Nothing I ever eat again will compare, I will just have to accept that and return there as often as humanly possible. The chef deserves all her flowers, the dishes taste more home cooked than the food I cook at home. Already planning my next time there ☺️☺️☺️☺️

M Palmer This place has got to become a staple for me! Excellent food, made fresh in front of you, and was easy to order. The free toppings station is a bonus, considering so many restaurants these days charge extra for sauces. Lovely atmosphere and very affordable food, especially with blue light discount and being part of the free ‘marugame club’. It’s also fantastic if you’re on a calorie deficit as the portions are very generous whilst being fairly low in calories and high in protein. I got the regular beef nikutame udon and had to take half of it home as it was so filling! (Takeaway pots are easy to help yourself to next to the toppings section). Would recommend to anyone!

H L-J Ive been eating at Afghan Flavours, Reading for circa 18 months now. I was introduced by my sisters friend and have kept coming back on my own, with a my sister or in small groups. Its very reliable, tasty, fresh and hot food. Family friendly. Very reasonably priced for the quality and freshness. You can see the kitchen from the counter too. Other reviews mentioning service speed need to show some patience. Freshly cooked and prepared food takes time and this is an increasingly popular establishment. I would describe as cafe style eating. Whether its the Channa Daal, Houmous, halloumi, chicken byriani, Qabuli chicken/lamb, chicken/lamb charsi karahi, Afghan style red kidney beans, Chaplin kebab paties, chicken or lamb or mixed tikka or lamb kofta - I recommend all. For drinks would recommend mint or green tea (loose tea) or mango lassi (glass or jug) or a fresh juice. I prefer to eat in, but take away is also available. A friendly and hardworking team. Dhanu Prashant (PD) The front-of-house staff (Parya and Ermioni) were friendly and welcoming. We loved their mixed grill — definitely a must-try.
