K Really enjoyed my experience here at capital. The restaurant is very large and has a nice and friendly feel. They offer complimentary bread which tastes super fresh along with a range of dips; this is one of the tastiest I’ve had in a while. Ordered the Capital platter which went down a treat with us four adults - the meat was super tender and so well cooked! I loved that it was super meaty with the doner pieces; the bulgar was very tasty too. Absolutely recommend for some very tasting Turkish, the flavours do not disappoint and the service was excellent.

Shiv - Pure joy on a plate – no exaggeration! The food here was one of the highlights of my stay in Oxford. As a vegan it’s so hard getting a decent meal in a casual setting but this place is like an oasis. I was practically salivating watching the person in front of me having their order made. The guy serving (seemed like owner/manager?) was so lovely and let me select a bit of everything. Food was 10/10 for freshness, flavour, nutrition and variety. The pics speak for themselves, and what is shown only cost me £10 odd (including kombucha), which is a steal for sitting in eating such wholesome food. Falafel was also top notch. I got spicy sauce but could’ve tolerated more heat, though didn’t miss anything because the flavours were POW. Overall, if I lived here I’d probably be in this place several times a week. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the chef was also super friendly. Keep up the magic, CHICK PEA. you’ve got something special here.

Sandra Brunton We, a party of 8, visited this establishment on Suday lunchtime. On entering we were aware of the welcoming and friendly atmosphere from staff and customers. Toby, our waiter, didnt take long to take our orders. He was very knowlegable regarding the menu, and was able to answer any queries. We all had starters that went down well. No complaints. Seven of our party chose either lamb neck or shoulder, the other, pork, for the main course. All meals were ample and well presented, and most importantly, HOT. The slow cooked lamb meat was very tender and fell off the bone. Extra gravy or condiments were brought swiftly to the table as requested. Seven of our party finished off their meal with a dessert. The rhubarb and ginger sponge was especially liked. We all had a nothing but praise for a great afternoon, delicious food, and excellent, friendly service from all the staff, especially our waiter, Toby. A footnote...Yes it was very noisy, but this is what happens when people are enjoying themselves and having a good time! We will visit again.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. The food was absolutely top-notch. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavour, clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients.
