5 /5 K Abraham: Every Dec for the past 4 years I’ve been here for my friend’s birthday. The place is presented well - I love the zebra carpet upstairs. It is pricey but very nice food - the calamari is nice, I love the sauce put on it. The mains is filling if you choose kebab dish. I’ve had the mixed kebab which is served on a flatbread with loads of salad - the chicken is so nice and soft and the lamb tasty. This time there was entertainment of singers afterwards hosted by Arg and his band which was a great way to end the night.

4 /5 Anton Peterson: Situated on the main road, Shish has its own parking area. The atmosphere is very lively with people and very chic. There is seating outside as well as in. The music was audible but not invasive and conversations could be had a regular levels. There is more lively music on the first floor with the atmosphere being raised up a level. The food was very nice all round: well cooked and presented. I would say though that it doesnt satisfy the price paid for it. Then again, what more can you do to a grilled piece of chicken? The service by the staff was good. They were polite and helpful. The group I was with were rushed a little as we only had a 2hr slot (pretty much standard?), but even though we overran on our time, they made sure that our food was served together at the same time and nicely spaced out. Overall, I had a good dining experience at Sheesh. I would recommend this place to people who easily socialise, like a lively atmosphere and enjoy consuming Turkish cuisine.

1 /5 K: Came here for a celebration and cannot believe how hyped up it is. I understand it is in an affluent location with upscale guests, but the price tag to the dishes served are questionable. Upon arriving promptly at the time of our booking, we were told our table was getting ready so to wait in the upstairs bar. The wait was 25 minutes and I suspect was a ploy to order drinks while waiting, because why on earth would it take that long to get the table ready, especially when where we were seated was visibly empty when we arrived. We all ordered mocktails, tasted so basic and priced the same as cocktails which is a steal. Ordered a couple starters, the creamy mushrooms were tasty along with the shrimp. Very small portion size so that was disappointing. Then for the main we ordered the mix sheesh and lamb which came with salad only so we ordered the sunset rice and truffle chips as a side. The ratio of meat to salad was appalling, more salad than meat which tastes like any other Turkish place. Overall, a very disappointing experience, I get that it’s an upscale restaurant but it is clear they are established as a premium without offering any substance because of the types of people who frequent the place. We were also seated in the conservatory, which due to the outside weather being chilly was also cold indoors. The lighting was also very dark so having an equally dark menu was difficult to decipher as it needed the light to be brighter. I would not recommend nor return, think it’s overly hyped and the food offering can absolutely be found elsewhere along with a better atmosphere too.

5 /5 Melissa Ford: Ive been to Sheesh several times and never had a bad experience. Most recently, I celebrated my 40th birthday and we were given a lovely area of our own due to the size of our table. As it was a Sunday, there was an incredible magician Stephen that truly impressed the whole party, especially the kids. I wish I got the name of our waiter, but he was fantastic and very attentive the whole evening. The food was 10/10 and few people said it was one of the best meals theyd ever had. The whole atmosphere at Sheesh is another level, cant fault it at all. Thanks for making my birthday one to remember.
